Extension of a Rural House

Extension of a schist masonry country house

The intervention includes the extension of the intimate area of the house, the creation of a large porch and a suspended deck, that doubles as a privileged viewpoint to the surrounding landscape.

The solution lays on a steels structure, filled with wood elements and articulated with new schist elements.

The challenge was to intervein in an already interesting construction, with na holistic approach, preserving its identity and adding value to it, in a way that was both respectful and uncomplexed.
